While waiting for parts on the launch to dry I thought I'd start the carronade. Well I stuffed up. I must have scored the copper too deeply so that when I bent it,it broke. Unfortunately,unlike the planking, they only just gave enough to do this with a little left over. All is not lost though. On checking out the actual carronade on the Victory I noticed that this fitting is totally different. My challenge now is to make a wooden version of the real fitting

Well, it didn't work. It was just too small to get it exactly the same. So, I made one like the original out of the off cut strips I had. Looks just as convincing.
