Only a small update on the progress. Got the swivel guns installed and that's all for now. Now its time for the next issue and i have been dreading this part. Have to start and make the shrouds starting with the foremast so if there are any tips on how to go about this they will be most welcome. As always any comments most welcome. Regards Foz

Ben Hi Ben, thanks for the kind comment. I have found the build very interesting but do feel that some parts could have been done at different stages as they get difficult to get in to certain areas. Regards Foz

Well not much done due to the golf on TV, but managed to get the foremast shrouds done. Not the best but this is a learning curve for me and practice before i start working again on the vic. What would be of help in these builds when you get to this stage is a better insight in to positioning the dead eyes as looking at the plans and how to rig them, some of mine are the wrong way round, nut hey, practice an knowledge is a big thing. Regards Foz

Next thing to do with this part is to add the rat lines to the fore mast shrouds. The plans and the pics in the magazines are not great and do not tell me if there is any specific distance between each rat line. Question is, is there a specific distance between each rat line as i have seen some where on here people using a template for the positioning of the rat lines. Any help would be really appreciated. Regards Foz

Coming along very nicely Foz... am surprised the instructions don't tell you how many ratlines need to fitted to each shroud.... Sorry I can't help with your question as I haven't ever got to that stage yet so will be interested in any replies you get..... Good luck with her.... Regards Alan

Thanks for the kind comment Alan. The plans that come with it show there are 26 rat lines, what they do not say is the distance between each one, but after a quick working out i thunk they should be around 6 - 7 mil between each one. Well that's what i think so will go with that and see how it looks. Regards Foz
