Hi everyone..
Iv'e made a simple rope walk for all.
Here are the parts needed. Twist a braid, (Kids hair braider).
Here is picture of it and of the rope i made from normal white cotton...
I will post more pics later when i had a play. On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Superb idea, I really would like to see how you rig it up. One question thought, was this tool found in your tool bag?  do they turn individually as well as the whole unit?

Yeah it was hiding in the bottom lol.
The stems spin clockwise when you press switch upwards. Then when you press the switch downwards the stems move slower clockwise but the main head spins anticlockwise. Thus giving the s spin and the z spin.

Brilliant Idea, My 12 yr old daughter has just seen it and said " Ive got one of those!" So its just been pressganged into service, when she finds it, kids bedrooms!!!!  All we need now is some kind of jig for it! I've just asked the wife on her trip to the shops to look out for one, why I explained what I was gonna try she looked at me with a blank expression on her face and said 'will you ever grow up' NO I don't wanna grow up and how have you attached the other end of the rope.

Is there enough torque to bend thin wire? (copper or brass) Always used a olde-fashioned hand-operated, woodworking drill - seems to work ok. I can see the appeal of this as a useful little gadget - but (unless you intend to make your own hemp rope "No-officer,it is for traditional rope-making purposes - the flowers are just secondary-honest!"), I don't see the need, given the plethora of various rigging twine sizes that are available. Might buy one for my beard though... Braided beards are cool. Schnellboots on back burner
