Hi Andy, This will be a great build and I can see you have put the hours in to get to this stage, I must say your planking on such a large ship is impressive, as so your Gratings and Hatchways, your decking also look's the part so well done and keep sending. Regards Trev. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Hi Robin She will certainly be big at 1.90 scale and 1060 mm length but not quite as big as the Victory at 1.84 scale and 1250 mm length even so im enjoying the build. The fold backs iv had for years a legacy of my days at a certain glass manufacturer and come in handy for quite a few things. Thanks for looking in and your comments regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Managed to dig up some strakes hiding in a corner so I have no completed the planking up to the balwarks. All the cannon ports have now been cut out, the one good thing about the ports is that pre cast metal gun port covers are provided so no need for exact cuts here. I also have removed all the pins/nails used on the planking and given the hull a good sanding down, I haven't used any filler on the hull so far as that will be done if needed when all the 1st layer of planking is finished regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy! Nice work, well done! I know, so much gunports - hard work Regards, Bernd

Hi Bernd Thank you for looking in and your comments. The gun ports were easyer than normal as they were pre cut into the ply gun port strips so it was a case of carving them out as the strips reached them then adding more strakes and carving out the rest a lot easyer than marking out and cutting or using templates that never seam to fit regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Another update on the planking im certainly getting close to the end now it is a part of ship modelling I do enjoy to be honest. Although the instructions say to add the planks and leave the gaps for the stealers as you proceed upwards I have always preferred to compleat a section in its entirety . The stern planks are slightly out but as this is the 1st planking im not too concerned. Again a very rough sanding has been done just to tidy things up regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
