Hi! The first parts for the captains cabin arrived. They are lasered and a few strips of limewood should be glued upon. Then this complete part should be painted in signal red. I didn´t like this (Jack Sparrow is NO firefighter), so I took the same grey strips I used for the deck planking. It´s a little bit better but still to much red for me. I placed (still not glued) some strips in, hmmm, bordeaux-red. What do you think about this idea? Comments are very welcome, I´m not sure what to do! Looking good Bernd and have to agree, your second choice of colour is far better than the bright red.... .. Hope to get my hands on this kit one day but will have to wait and see if it turns up in the UK... Keep up your great work.... Best regards Alan

Hi! Once again a little progress. Another deck (sorry, I don´t know the correct english name) is fixed and planked. Of cause I didn´t used the delivered wood, I took the strips I also had used at the other decks. A table and a chair for the captains cabin had to be prepared. The instructions say they have only to be painted black, I don´t like that. So I also took the bordeaux strips, now it looks better. Regards, Bernd der Gohfelder attached the following image(s):

Hi Bernd. Looking really smart there, well done and that bordeaux looks just the part too! That deck at the bow is just called the Forecastle (usually shortened to Foc'sl in naval diaries and reports) but it doesn't matter what you call it - it still looks great! When I was looking for crew figures a while back I came across a set called Zombie Pirates, I don't know if you've seen them but they are a dead copy for the crew of the Flying Dutchman with Davy Jones and all! I think they were about 1/72 scale or thereabouts. Keep up the great work! Robin First wooden ship: The Grimsby 12 Gun 'Frigate' by Constructo Second: Bounty DelPrado Part Works Third: HMS Victory DelPrado Part Works 1/100 scale Diorama of the Battle of the Brandywine from the American Revolutionary War Diorama of the Battle of New Falkland (unfinished sci-fi), Great War Centenary Diorama of the Messines Ridge Assault Index for the Victory diary is on page 1
