Issue 26 contains a slight revision of assembly of the shock absorber assembled at Issue 4, which is to improve the performance of the shock absorbers.
The issue 4 shock will need to be emptied of its oil content back into the bottle, the shaft removed from the shock body, and a washer added to the protruding shaft side of the assembly. This is advised within Issue 26 where the additional washer is provided and the second front shock absorber is assembled as per the revision.
If you are storing your RB7 parts for later assembly, it would be a good idea to assemble the Issue 4 shock absorber at Issue 26.

How exactly do you get it back in the bottle?? will they be supplying a miniature funnel LOL
Is this bottle needed to fill all shockies?? i am assuming that there is 4??

The spout tip of the bottle is removed, and the oil simply poured back in, without need of a funnel.
There is adequate oil in the bottle for all four shocks along with the revision for one shock.

What does this washer actually do and how critical is it. Don't think I can be bothered pulling the shock apart, just to add a washer.

It slows the rate of oil passing through the piston holes on the upstroke and is noted as an improvement to the performance.
Its only a 10 min task to add the washer.

Im assuming that means that Kyosho is placing an extra washer in part 26 for the issue 4 shock? Sorry for asking an obvious question as it appears, I just want to make sure is all. Thankyou:)   Kyosho/Deagostini RB7 Rox!!

Unsure at this stage if the washers are just relevant to just the front shocks or all four, but if they are, then washers will also be provided for the rear shocks.

Thanks Tomick for the speedy reply. If there is a chance that Kyosho/DeAg doesn't issue the extra part for some reason, then I guess it would be a stock standard part that we could easily get from most RC Kyosho stockists? Thanks again!

Just wanted to check this.
Received my first load of parts today and downloaded the instruction PDF online. Got to the shock part and stopped. Is this still the correct thing to do, or has the PDF been corrected some time in the months since this was first advised?

 Hi cs2000 I would go with the revision and wait for the washer that's needed to arrive then its just one assembly to do and no messing about with draining oil ect. Hope this help regards Andy  Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Cool, that makes sense, just wondered if it had been fixed since the change had been applied. That's cool anyway, il leave it in its cardboard wrapper and assemble it in a few months time :) BTW: I hope nothing I ever do is as fiddly as that front wing

Quick question....
I am beginning to assemble the front shocks now...
I have received the washer from issue 26.
Now where do I get the steps to complete this process?
Do u follow the instructions in the magazines?
