Its a shame that the worlds largest commercial Hovercraft (SR.N4) was retired in 2000, I seem to recall Airfix doing a kit of this beast.

Airfix did do a kit of this Hovercraft, kit no, 09171-8 first released in 1970 I believe.

Hey! I've still got that one in the attic (needs a bit of repair I think) It came with a clear plastic roof section and a fully detailed interior (although that roof was 'frosted' over the engine compartment as there were no engines!)
Airfix also did a model of the first experimental one as well SRN1? was it?

I went on the biggie on a day trip to Calais in my teens - bloody bumpy ride!!Drool (and that's NOT drool!)BigGrin
