Hi Jase, It did work as a mask but its difficult to peel off on a matt surface, gloss is fine - i will go for one of the ones you mentioned as I have a 1/24 scale car project coming up Steve

Excellent work Steve. love your build. Not looked to much in to the Vic build as mine is on hold but something i have found with the Endeavor is when you start on the shrouds, well do not know about anyone else, but when doing mine i kept catching the spars and dislodged most of them and have to re-glue them back in place. Not saying to do it but it might be an idea of not to attach the spars until the shrouds are done, just a thought, as in hind sight, i would now do this, but it is your build. By the way, have a nice bottle of hobgoblin on the go. Regards Foz

Regards Foz Thankyou Foz, with regard to the shrouds I fully agree with you that the spars would get in the way, I just had a peek at the official build and the instructions are to do the shrouds before the spars go on so this suits me fine I love the Hobgoblin, came pretty close to the taste with homebrew last xmas, added a tin of black treacle and chocolate to a good dark ale kit...lovely Steve

Thankyou Ian, I have now completed issue 90 and added some more detail to the deck and bulwarks. New for this issue are bulwark pinrails, staghorns, center and bow pinrails and bulwark shot garlands. Im in the process of carefully removing all the stands from the HAT figures I painted as well, note the rope belt on the chap pretending to be working I tied a bit of .15 thread round his waist and brushed a little pva over it - saves painting it One caronade should be on the forcastle by now but i havent built it yet, first one came with issue 3 but im expecting the second one any day now, so will build and rig them at the same time. Thanks for looking in Foz, Not much of an update here, I have now finished the spars for the bowsprit, no pics yet as I have now put them away with the others. So my mast/spar/yard etc making is complete for this model I have just about finished issue 91 now and have done the cathead and ekeing rail for one side. I never like it when I come to a bit that says I have start cutting and gouging into already painted and finished work but it wasn't as bad as I thought. The first pic shows the parts that need cutting out and the rest are various angles of the complete cathead and rail. No crowns are supplied in the kit so will have to see what I can do about that later. Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):
