I am a bit stuck.

Probably a common sense issue, but then I dont have much of that BigGrin

Is there a printing error on the measurements for marking out the black line on the upper hull?

It flows along nicely, but then the last 2 measurements are 65mm and 63mm. This drops it way too low. Should it be 55 and 53 or something else?

Hi Rob,BigGrin

I concur with Alan, those measurements fit with my build also.

I would recheck you havn`t missed a measuring step as I don`t think your build could be 10mm out.

If still unsure then post some pics and I`m sure help will be available.

Cheers fellas. This first pic shows the problem. I have roughly masked the line according to the measurements in the instructions. As you can see, where the red line is, that should flow smooth in an upwards curve. Not quite right I'm sure you will agree!!!

Now, I may have an inkling of the problem. I think I may have undercut the bulkheads indicated by the yellow arrows. If I was to lower those bulkheads, the strip would flow more like in this pic.

One way to check the bulkheads is if one of you kind fellas could measure the distance between the top of the rear top port and the bulkhead as indicated by the yellow arrows.

I've probably cocked this right up, but I'm'I'm determined to right it. Gone too far now just to give up.

Hi Rob, BigGrin

Ok, lets try and sort your issue. Blink

I make the measurement between your two yellow lines 18mm approx.

Then that said and done, your masking line looks about spot on to where my black paint line has ended up.

Hope this helps.

If you need more measurements then just ask.

Well, the measurement on mine is about 18.5 mm, so I dont think that bulkhead is the issue. I cant quite see what the measurement is between the last gunport and the upper bulwark on Alan's measure.

I am at a loss to be honest. Everything appears to be measured accurately.

Any other ideas what the problem could be? It can't be anything to do with the gunports. The fact that the step between 51mm and 63mm is between a bulwark section and that's where the sudden change in level is, makes me think it must be a bulwark issue.

Does the angle of the tops of the bulwarks look the same as yours?

Problem sorted. Turns out I didn't even have a problem Blushing

Many thanks to Delboy for his assistance. A real helpful fella.
It seems as though the final 51mm measurement was throwing me somewhat. All sorted now and ready to crack on painting BigGrin
