Stage 18 - Contains the lower wing tip ribs, wooden strips and a length of tube.

Take a 4 x 4mm wooden strip and place it along the groove behind the main spar on the underside of the wing, up against the existing 4x4mm
wooden strip.
Make a mark in line with the last rib, then cut the strip to length, apply glue to the contact points and fix the strip into place.

Take the upper wing tip rib frett that came with the previous stage.

Identify and mark the parts with a pencil, as shown. Then cut the pieces from the fret.

Test-fit, then glue ribs A-D onto the wing tip, then test-fit ribs E and F in place in the larger holes atthe front of the wing tip. Apply glue to the contactareas of E and glue into place. Before E dries, glue
F into place up against it. (Ensure that you remove any excess glue from the wing tip rib slots on the wing tip underside).

Test-fit then glue rib G into the notches of ribs A-F.

Pack 06 contains Stages 20 - 23

Stage 20 - Contains left wing ribs 1 & 2, rib reinforcemsnts and a 4x4mm wooden strip.

The assembly of the left wing is similar to the asmbly of the right wing.

Mark the ribs as shown (1 & 2).

Take the left wing main spar, then test-fit rib 2 in position on the spar. Apply glue to the second notch in the spar and set it at 90 degrees to the spar. Check that the top of the rib is aligned with the
top of the spar, and make sure the projections at the bottom of the rib are flush with the work surface.

Retrieve the tube provided with Stage 18 and the right wing assembly.

Pass the tube down the wing through the holes at the rear of the front ribs. Stop passing the tube along the wing when it reaches approximately halfway between the first and the second ribs at the wing root.

You will notice that the tube extends past the end of the wing tip. Do not cut away the excess just yet.

Hold the tube into the holes in the ribs, the apply superglue or epoxy glue to set the tube in place.

Carefully store the remaining parts.

Take the left wing assembly, place the rib tails onto a block of wood in the same way as you did with the right at Stage 12.

Apply glue to the notch between the first two ribs, then fit rib 12 into the glued notch, resting its tail on top of the block of wood. Before the glue dries check that the spacing between the first three ribs is equal, and make sure that the top of the ribs are aligned with the spar.
