Ron Dennis back in charge of Mclaren F1!!

Doesn't sound like a happy man at all about the last 5 years since he was last involved

Will be interesting to see the changes he brings in, also the people he brings in!

Looks like panic has set in for a far better 2014 than 13. Will be interesting to see if Ron can wave his magic.

Aparently there will be further announcements on the leadership of the team next month, though already media speculation is rife that Brawn could be heading over.

McLaren did not deny the reports, but said they "would not get involved in commenting on that kind of media speculation"

I think he will surface in 2015 with the arrival of Honda, and possibly in the meantime work with Honda

Brawn could argue with their 2013 performance, Mclaren aren't considered a rival to Mercedes!!

I do hate all the media speculation though!

My thinking is R.D has seen an opportunity this season, with Lotus broke and the negative press around them surely won't help the start of their campaign, also the partnering of Alonso and Raikkonen at Ferrari certinaly won't be a fairy tale
The last time Alonso had a team mate racing as good as/better than him?
Hamilton in 2007, and we all know how that turned out!
And Finally Red Bull, now without their experienced 2nd driver picking up the vital additional points, I think Ricciardo will be a flop!

I'm sure a clever guy like R.D has thought about this and will use it to his advantage in getting Mclaren back into glory, and for getting new members of staff

The latest rumour, and is just that, reported by a number of well-respected F1 journalists, is that Sam Michaels will be announced as the 2014 McLaren team principal tomorrow by Ron Dennis.
