Hi All, Here`s my finished effort of this 1:30 cannon dio. Problems incurred during the build: Carriage sides missing from a sealed kit. Water in a bucket. Side rail components not all size to fit. These issues have been overcome and the end result is shown in Pics 1 - 6 below. I`ve also included a few close-ups, Pics 7 - 9 below. Now to protect this dio I have purchased an acryilic dome. There`s a couple of pics of the dio under the dome, Pics 10 - 11 below. Still have a base plinth to sort out, but it gives an idea of the final display. There is a bit of reflection, but when you are close up it doesn`t affect the view. Well that`s it, I would like to take this time to thank everyone who has offered any help and assistance during this build. I really like this Del, nice little display You have made me think of doing one to go with my Vic when finished - if there is one, havent even checked yet, Well done anyway! Looking at it with the dome on I get the impression that this display is just dying for some kind of flickering orange lighting in there somewhere, It would become a very unique lamp Steve

Lots of tips on the painting from this forum and local Games Workshop store, who supplied the skin tone and the wash to make things look dirty. tony Cheers Tony, Many thanks for your kind comments. Obstacles overcome with the help of this BRILL forum, local traders and digging far far back into the memory banks. Yep, it was still fun modelling at it`s best. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Hi All, Just a small addition, here it is with the dome in place and a green baize base plate. I have made the pic as best as possible due to lights/flash etc, but you get the idea Regards delboy271155 (Derek) delboy271155 attached the following image(s): COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Martyn Ingram wrote: Lovely work Del and the dome is a bril idea well done Rgd Martyn Hi Martyn, Thanks for looking in and your kind comments. I like the dome idea, but the only draw back is that it cost more than the kit. Well worth it to keep the dust of it though. Happy building Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"
