I'm pleased with this bit, looking forward to doing the same on the topmasts next stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Well this was to be "Return of the Deadeye" but as I have already posted the mini tutorial showing Deadeye Dave Jr. in use I just thought Id show some pics of the completed topmast shrouds instead rather than repeat the tutorial - http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=posts&t=9532 Im on issue 96 now and have only skipped 2 jobs, fitting the bowsprit and the 4 lanterns. Im holding off fitting the bowsprit until I absolutely have to as it will make spinning the model around more difficult, plus I still havent built a shelf yet With the bowsprit in place the Vic will have to come off the desk. Thanks for looking stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Hi Steve Your right the knots would be out of scale but its a half way house as the majority of the blocks supplied are also out of scale or too big , so its a case of if it looks right it will be ok . You also have the problem that during a voyage only so many spares could be carried on board so at some point a larger block would be used until the correct replacement was available. regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I'm thinking I will be using the DeAg suggested route of pushing the ratlines through each shroud with a needle and only using knots at each end Steve

Lovely work Steve and very neat. I love your "Deadeye Dave jnr" tool. A brilliant invention on your part. I'm just about to reach the stage where it will be needed so with your permission, I'd like to make one of these little gizmo's myself, and looking at your build and tutorial, it really makes life easier there. Good luck and happy building David

Just been looking through the Vic diaries...do you not have your Vic build log on here? Cheers Steve
