Hi Allan There is no real plan as such for the gunports, the positions are measured out in relation to the frames - the upper 2 rows based on the position of the lower row which are each forward of the frames and follow the top of the 1st plank. The dummy gun barrel holes are made when you center drill each gunport after marking them, basically you drill the center hole then carry on to drill the barrel support hole as well. Hope this it what you were asking, if not let us know Steve

Quite true, this info comes from the magazine rather than as a separate plan

Hi Steve i might not have explained it very well but some of the hatches have closed doors and some are open and certain ones have dummy cannons also there are some of the hatch doors hinged at the side with split doors rather than hinged at the top as most are Allan

The gun ports do not get finished in one go. The first ones are the upper gun deck and that begins with issue 82. dummy cannons are done quite late on.
Nothing stopping you doing them all at once but be mindful the build sequence is there for a reason so check your not causing any future build headaches.
Tip - quick way of identifying the issues is to flick through the official build, quicker than trawling through your magazines

Hi Allan, Seeing as you are not asking about the positions of the ports but the placement of covers etc here are the issues where you find these - Issue 76 - Stern Gunports closed covers Issue 82 - 18 gunports lids fitted including 2 split door fittings. (these are fitted earlier as they will be difficult to fit later due to the chainwales). Issue 97 - Completes the port lids - including 2 closed and 2 closed split doors Issue 100 - Smaller dummy barrels fitted Issue 119 - Remaining dummy barrels fitted Cheers Steve
