Hi Alan
Thanks for your comment. Progress is slower now that I'm on the superstructure.

Watching your build of the Titanic.

Cheers

Hi All
Thanks for looking in. Work progressing on the superstructure. Using available styrene sections to form lockers, depth charges etc. If I made up the card version I think that this is the way I would make all the lockers, stairs .

Progress so far

Hi Ken, Cool

Looking really good.

Only one question, when painting the cammo colours, what do you use for masking the irregular shapes?

I am building the Spitfire and I`m wondering on the best way to mask it up.
(Still a way off, but thought I would test the waters, so to speak)Laugh

Hi delboy271155

For The cammo pattern I first sprayed the lightest colour as a basecoat and then covered the whole hull in masking tape. Using a new sharp blade I lightly cut the pattern into the masking tape (don't press too hard) for the next darker colour and sprayed this coat, I then covered the sprayed areas with masking tape and marked and cut for the final colour.
For the superstructure I spray as much as possible with the lightest coat and hand paint the rest.
I hope this was some help to you.

Regards
Ken

Where has this been Hiding!!!

I have no idea how I have missed this but just read through the lot. Fantastic build, love to see all the white card work, very well done. plating the hull also absolutely great and the finish is spot on.

have to say this one of my favourite non partwork builds.

will ensure i don't miss any more progress Blushing
