Hello everyone After years of wanting to build a wooden model ship, I've gone and ordered HMS Victory after reading nearly every topic on this forum. I have 25 years of experience of model building and painting but this will be my first wooden ship build and fear I may have bitten off more than I can chew though I suppose this remains to be seen. It looks like a friendly forum and I look forward to receiving my first issues and getting to grips with the build.

Hello and welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will be fine with victory, there is plenty of help on the forum and of course the official build diary to follow. Good luck and hope to see your build on here soon Steve

I only ordered it tonight so I will continue to read, read and read again the official build!

Yes, I re-read your post to see that it was the partwork then I edited my reply. It is an excellent partwork and will build your skills as you progress so don't worry, the instructions in the mags are a joy to follow Steve
