Many thanks guys, really appreciate the comments and support.
Looks like I will have to leave the tiling 'till I get back here in April. Will have to make sure I don't get tempted by continuing with the yards though.
BTW managed to straighten out the mizzen top gallent - some weights hanging over the edge of my desk for a couple of days seem to do the trick.

Back to work at last after a long lay off due to a busy spring and summer.
Immediate goal is to put the tilling to bed. I can't say I have enjoyed this part as it was tricky and the tiles wouldn't take, mainly due to me not reading the instructions on the adhesive properly, I think.
As with the rest, I wish I was doing it again but one has to move on.

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.
Ian, yes I was going to let them tarnish as it looked quite natural (they had already over 3 years but I cleaned them up as I was completing the tiling)but now I am not so sure. The bright copper does look nice also.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a lacquer I might use?

So HMS Victory is officially launched today. Well metaphorically at least, since she is the right way up and I will now be working on the superstructure. The jig, which has seen sterling service, will go away ready for the next build, perhaps (Cutty Sark?). Actually looking forward to planking again and cutting out the gun ports although I realise there are still some long stretches on the way. Until next time shipmates.
