Ssshhh... don't mention the oar slots..

In answer to your question, if it relates to their positioning, would be a definite 'yes' (I'd follow the mag build..)

If it relates to the exact dimensions of the oar slots themselves, then the answer to that question would be a 'yes' as well - but a fine, flat sided needle-file size 'will do' for all but the most accuracy obsessed.

It would be the distance between the slots and the distance from the stern to the first slot?

Hi Allan

You can stick to the instructions in the magazine build or check out an actual picture of the launch to get an idea.

I did my oar slots a week or so ago and am now having second thoughts about their width. I just used a needle file as Capt Stedders is suggesting, but I'm not happy with my oars and may widen the slots and adapt the oars somehow.

I followed the mag's instructions, and this is how mine turned out:

I used a flat needle file. Just make sure you don't file down to far - better to come up short than have to fill.

I am still playing with my launch build, and seeing the latest pics have decided to try and emulate the actual painted stripes as shown across the transom.
I modified the oar slots today, they are now 2mm deep by 2mm wide and I think they look OK.
Will post pictures later when I have sorted out how to do.
