Is there a definitive book or web site that shows our zero cockpit in colour detail including behind the pilot , i.e oxygen cylinders , tubes , pies etc and in the main cockpit colours of individual panels, switches, knobs etc etc

There are a few cockpit pics in the reference library on here but as for colour pictures there as rare as hens teeth and books are equally as rare with what you want in them.
One option is to go on the Japanese Amazon and do a search you may be more successfull there but be warned postage and packing is expensive as are some of the books/ magazines available.

When I built my Tamiya zero i used pics i collected from the internet. the best site was this

they have a complete walk round of the cockpit and label everything!! docent seam to be up and running tonight but try it tomorrow see if the site is back up

Aero Detail 7 - Mitsubishi A6M Zero Fighter is crammed with colour photos and drawings, can be found on eBay but generally from outside the UK

not sure if these are included in the kit if so ignore me

if not is anyone thinking of adding the hoses from the three oxygen cylinders in the aft cockpit area

if so what is the layout and what do they look like any pics , plans etc input please
