Thanks Trev, you got me interested in bikes, I bought the RC166 after seeing your build, also got the upgrades its about 75% built. Well its finished,mainly built this to get some practise with decals and Zero paints, clear is 2K Zero gives really good finish but a bit of a pain mixing, I think my next project will be an MP4/4 with full detail. Hi Rob, Great finish and a very worthy model for your collection,Rob have you any pictures of your part built Honda 166,my problem is the metal wheels regarding the spokes and the way they fit,I am due to start again soon as this is a great bike model and just looking at it I find a bit irritating. Hi Trev, only real advise I can give is do exactly as instructions, make sure the air valve hole is inline with the mark on the jig, if you look at the holes from the outside of the rim it's easy to identify as it's the only hole not counterboared,when you put the first lot of spokes in and position them as shown in the diagram, put a little watered down PVA glue on them to hold them in place, now you put the next lot of spokes in from the other side, and do the same, make two sets, when you put the first hub in the jig, align the lowest down spokes in there holes, they go in quite easy then put the nipples on and use some superglue to hold them in place, when there dry the jig wont be as fragile now because the spokes higher up need a bit of bending to get them in there holes, I used long nose pliers, now you put the spacer in part A1 making sure you align the right hole, then put the other hub in the jig align the spokes and fit the nipples. I used a magnifier head set makes it a lot easier, so good luck let me know how you get on, any questions I will try to help, so stick with it as you can see they look superb when assembled. Rob. Hi Rob, Thank for taking the time to show your Honda wheels to me,I think I know where the problem was I did not PVA so it became very difficult to hold all the spokes together and in place I will try again thank you.
