I think this would be a great partwork in metal, along the lines of the samurai armour at 1/2 scale - no copyright that I could see on this pic. stevie_o attached the following image(s):

That would be a thing to treasure. Along the lines of armour there are some very colourful gilded varieties, or even something famous like Henry 8th. I guess time will tell to see if something comes along. Tony Happy Modelling

I was thinking something comparable in time frame and coverage to the Samurai armor like three quarters armor in 1:2 scale

I too would go for a period armour partwork, but would have to see a picture of the final finished product before committing. The picture in the OP would be a definite "Shut up and Take my Money!", a suit worn by a famous king or notable knight would be a "Quite likely", any English or European design would have possibilities with me, but unfortunately I would be a definite "No" to anything but the full suit. King Henry VIII did have a rather nice suit of armour around 1540. Not fancy, it was definitely a suit to be used in battle, not a fancy one used by generals scanning the battlefield and worried about eagle-eyed musketeers or other show armour, it had a conspicuously enlarged left arm. I can't say if this was due to an ailment or not, but I suspect it was useful in battle should his shield be forced from him. Current Builds

Henry VIII armour made for the field of the cloth of gold can be seen at the Royal Amouries at Leeds.
I would buy both full and thee quarters armour in the posts above in 1/2 scale. They would make fantastic display pieces as well as educating on just how these sets of body armour were made and worn. Both come from different eras and show how armour changed as the art of war and technology on the battlefield changed.
The Samurai armour was a real education in how it was made and put together and I gained some new and unexpected skills.
Yup! I'll have a set!
