Pack 09 contains Stages 32-35

Stage 32 - Contains a talfin section and wooden strips.

Remove the two rib 11 reinforcements from the fret provided in Stage 25, then smooth them with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Position the port (left) wing with the underside facing upwards.

Apply glue to the outside of the second rib then fit the reinforcement in place. Make sure, as with all other reinforcements, that it is flush with the edge of the rib. Now apply glue to the front of the rib and fit the nose reinforcement.

Remove the two parts from the reinforcement sheet (Stage 23), as shown. Sand them lightly to remove burrs and splinters.

Test-fit the reinforcement up against the rib, make any necessary adjustments, and then apply glue and place the reinforcement along the bottom side of the rib. Make sure it is flush with the edge.

Now apply glue to the lower half of the rib nose and place the reinforcement flush with the edge of the rib.

Carefully store the tailfin and wooden strips within a numbered bag.

Stage 33 - Contains the left stabiliser section and wooden strips.

Retrieve the rib 5 reinforcement frett from Stage 23, and carefully remove the parts. Smooth them with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Continuing with the assembly of the left (port) wing, apply glue along the indicated rib, then place the reinforcement against the rib, aligning the edges of both.

Now apply glue to the nose end of the same rib and fit the small reinforcement (without the tube cut-out) in place.

Turn the wing over and apply glue along the side at the bottom of the rib, then place the two remaining reinforcements on the side of the rib, along the bottom edge.

As with the right (startboard wing), pass the tube provided in Stage 31 through the front of the ribs, starting at the wingtip.
Pass the tube along until the end of the tube is approximately halfway between the first two ribs.
Make sure the tube is resting in the circular recesses of the ribs, then apply glue to each one to set the tube in place.

Carefully store the stabiliser and wooden strips within a numbered bag.

Stage 34 - Contains the right stabiliser, diecast wing part and wooden strips.

Take the rib 9 reinforcements provided with Stage 30. Remove all of the parts from the sheet, then smooth them with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Apply glue to the indicated rib on the right (starboard) wing, and Place the first reinforcement into position at the top of the wing, on the wingtip side.

Now apply glue to the front of the same rib and fit the small reinforcement into place, aligning the top curved edges of both.

Apply glue to the highlighted area of the rib located towards the end of the left (port) wing. Place the reinforcement up against the side of the rib, fitting the end into the notch in the spar.

Now apply glue to the front of the rib, then place the reinforcement against the rib and into the spar, aligning the top edges of both.

Carefully store the stabiliser diecast part and wooden strips within a numbered bag.

Stage 35 - Contains an elevator section, diecast joystick control column, tube length and wooden strips.

Retrieve the rib 10 reinforcement fret provided with Stage 31. Remove the indicated parts from the fret and smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Take the left (port) wing, turn the wing over and apply glue to the inner side of the end rib, then place the reinforcement up against the rib.

Now apply glue to the other end of the rib, then place the reinforcement up against the rib and into the notch in the spar, making sure the curved edges are aligned.

Turn the wing back over and apply adhesive along the inner edge at the top of the end rib, then place the reinforcement up against the rib and into the notch in the rear spar.

Repeat the prcess on the right (starboard) wing. Apply glue to the inner edge at the front of the rib then fit the two upper reinforcements to the end rib of the right wing.

Turn the wing over and glue the two lower reinforcements into place on the end rib.

Carefully store the elevator diecast part and wooden strips within a numbered bag.

Pack 10 contains Stages 36 - 39

Stage 36 - Contains an elevator section, wooden strips, tube and brass wire.

Take the rib 16 reinforcement fret provided with Stage 27. Remove the two parts shown then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Apply glue to the contact areas of the indicated rib of the right wing, and fit the large reinforcement up against the side of the rib, then fit the small reinforcement onto the rib nose.

Remove the two parts shown in the photo from the rib 8 reinforcement fret provided with Stage 28. Then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Apply glue to the areas of the rib indicated on the right wing, fit the shorter of the two reinforcement pieces at the front of the rib, and the longer piece along the back.

Remove the two parts shown from the rib 8 reinforcement fret then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Turn the right wing over and glue the two reinforcements to the same rib as fitted earlier.

Carefully store the remaining parts.

Stage 37 - Contains fuselage reinforcements, wooden strips and a diecast antenna post. (note that there is a typo in the parts supplied list, the 3x3x300m strips should read 3x5x300mm).

Remove the reinforcement with three holes from the fuselage reinforcements fret, then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Test-fit the reinforcement part at the point shown in the fuselage. If it doesn’t fit between the sides, then sand the sides of the piece until it does.
Apply glue to the piece and place it behind the frame in the correct orientation as shown.

Now cut the two rectangular pieces from the fret and smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Take the shorter piece and test-fit it into position onto the left side of the fuselage cockpit as shown. Adjust the fit if necessary and then glue it in place. Place the piece into position, in contact with the wooden strip and the fuselage side, and up against the frame.

Test-fit the longer piece into place onto the tight side of the fuselage cockpit. Adjust the fit if necessary and then glue the piece in position between the wooden strip and the fuselage side.

Remove the two remaining parts from the fret and smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters. Glue them at the front of the cockpit as shown.

Carefully store the remaining parts.

Stage 38 - Contains fuselage fairing reinforcements and a wooden strip.

Remove all but the three smallest parts from the parts fret, then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Apply glue to the contact areas of the two parts shown and fit them together and set at a right angle.

Position the fuselage as shown in the step and test-fit the assembly just made into place. Adjust the fit if necessary and then glue into position. The projecting side of the part just fitted should be positioned at an equal distance to the frame behind it on both sides of the fuselage.

Apply glue to the projecting part of the assembly just fitted and fit the corresponding reinforcement against it on the forward side.

Test-fit then glue the small fairing piece into position up against the forward side of projecting part, setting it at a sloped angle.

Take the large fairing reinforcement, test-fit then glue it to the aft side of the procting part and along the fuselage, slightly curving it to match the curve of the fuelage panel, (you may need to use instant adhesive to achieve the slight curve).

Carefully store the remaining parts.

Stage 39 - Contains fuselage fairing reinforcements and a wooden strip.

Remove all but the three smallest parts from the fret, then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Test-fit and glue the fairing pieces onto the opposite side of the fuselage.

Remove the three pieces from the fret received with the previous stage, then smooth the edges with sandpaper to remove any burrs or splinters.

Test-fit then glue small and large of the three reinforcements and place into the slots in the aft fairing along the left side of the fuselage, as shown, then glue the medium of the three reinforcements into place on the forward fairingon the rear piece.

Repeat the process to fit the small, medium and large reinforcement pieces from the fret (provided with this stage) onto the fairings on the right side of the fuselage.

Carefully store the wooden strip.
