The only RNLI lifeboat in history to have been awarded a Gold medal for her self, has finally been saved from a watery grave, and is now on her way home to her rightful place in history - Ballycotton, County Cork, where she is to be restored to working condition.

The Mary Standford took part in one of the most famous and arduous rescues in maritime history - Daunt Rock Lightship rescue.
