I'm still undecided how to finish the lower either paint white or stain. I'm not sure of the finish. any thoughts would be much appreciated. Well back to it now, so I've got a challenge to catch up. Looking fab Stu....  .. For me, would have chosen a darker wood for the second layer, stained then varnished.... As you have a very light wood then make sure you do plenty of test pieces to see how the stain will look... only then can you really decide whether to stain or paint.... Hope this helps... Hi Stu One idea would be to try a lime wash this will whiten the wood and then a coat of clear varnish. Just an idea regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
