I am a newbie. This is the first time I have tried this sort of thing. Have issues 1 and 2. Waiting fir issue 3 so I can begin. Can't wait to get going.  Regards

Thanks gentleman for the welcome. When I say this is new to me, I mean it. The first dumb question - should I pour the glue onto the parts or paint it on. PVA tend to squeeze out if you put too much on. Ted Regards

Ted Hi Ted Less is generally more when any sort of glue is concerned. I tend to decant some out and either apply it with a cocktail stick or paint brush to the parts that need glue. I like to have a pot of water there too so I can clean up any over spill as I go usually with a damp paintbrush to get into the edges and corners that are hard to reach . The PVA will also create a stain if it left to dry in unwanted parts or areas. Slow and steady is the name of the game and you'll be fine. Mike

Ted Hi Ted, not a dumb question at all...  .. I always use a small paint brush for applying glue, the brush always sits in a pot of water... works for me.... Regards Alan

Ted Hi Ted. There is no set technique. But as others have said you want to be sparing with the glue so you don't have too much clean up after you fit the parts. I good approach is to decant a small amount of glue into a clean milk bottle top (not to much as it forms a skin after no to long) You can then use a cocktail stick to apply small blobs of glue where needed. You can use the same approach with CA (Super glue) but use a piece of wire in place of the cocktail stick.
You will find cocktail sticks are the model builders best friend so get some from the pound shop they are handy for all sorts of things.
Finally no question is silly we all learnt at some point and there is plenty of support on the forum.
