Hi Jase. Thanks for the kind words . I will post some more soon. I would also like to ask a bit of advice. As you can see i chose to paint the D51 but what i would like to ask is is it best to spray a varnish over the paint. Thanks and best regards to all. Mark

Simple answer in my view is that it is always Better to spray when you can.
Certainly easy to do that for the boiler assembly. The running gear will be more difficult to spray once assembled because of the moving parts; I would be tempted to brush that. It largely depends on your skill and confidence and if you are using a rattle can or airbrush.
You may want to wait until further in the build when you are sure of the relationship between the boiler construction and the Drivers cab.

Hi All. I have since resprayed the front as in pic 3 (the view from the front)as there was some overspray but have now rectified that and will put more pics up soon. Best regards. Mark
