Have to repeat all the above Alan, a lovely piece of work to be proud of, and its a very eye catching colour scheme too, will look great in place on the deck.
I just checked that mini SOTS kit and the same launch is just a shade over one and a half inches long!!Blink I think I'm going to need a very fine paintbrush!

Keep them coming! (or the Titanic!)

Started this weeks issue with the priming and painting of the 8 ornamental pieces to be fitted to the lower stern area..... When dry glued into position using serious glue, they have been attached according to the instructions....Cool Cool Moved onto cleaning up the edges of the flagpole mount and assembling... straight forward process but watch the top piece, so small and easily broken... Stained the base with walnut stain and attached in place again using serious glue.... Cool Cool .. In keeping with the style of the ship, have replaced the supplied flagpole with 2mm walnut dowel, applied a coat of walnut stain and clear matt varnish to finish.... The flagpole is in place for the purpose of the photo only, this has since been removed to prevent damage and will be attached at a later date.....Cool Cool Have cleaned up the horse figurehead, glued the two halves together. Applied filler to all the joints, sanded smooth using wet&dry (dry) and applied a coat of metal primer.... This is how it will stay now until next weeks issue....Cool Cool .. This brings an end to issue 81 so back to the Titanic now so happy building all.....Cool Cool

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,BigGrin

Seriously impressive, as usual Cool

Been very busy recently, so has taken a while to catch up, but wow was it worth the wait.

Not sure on the size of the horse but the detailing looks good.

How about one with the penny, just for the penny club Laugh

Keep up the good work Drool

Thank you Derek for the lovely comments....Cool Cool .. Just for you, pics of the horse against a 5p piece, didn't have a penny so through inflationary pressures had to resort to 5p....LOL LOL .. Just for good measure have also included a pic with the horse in situ.... Hope you like.... Cool Cool
