Hi all,
I want to keep all my ship natural wood, but want to have different shades using stains, dyes, waxes, oils etc...but do not know where to start ? can i use oils aswell as stains or do i have to keep to the same type ? i intend to use may be small amounts of black, gold etc... on some parts to highlight them. Will painted figures look out of place on a wood finish ship ?

hi,I think you'll find that di-ag has said that the woods used will compliment the natural colour of victory so that dyes and stains won't be needed,,I would wait till you have done some planking first before deciding.
