Normally I believe it is located on the quarterdeck. Where the quarterdeck is located on the SoS I'm not sure. Regards Ted ______________________________________________________

Hi all, on the SotS the weather decks were (from bow to stern): Forecastle - Upper (gun)deck - Half-deck - Quarter-deck - Poop-deck. But as the ship was designed in 1634, I'm not sure that the ship actually had a wheel. The larger ships in those days still had a whipstaff/kolder-stok with a companion the helmsman could look out of. Adrie. 'Where to glue or where not to glue, that is the question' Building: Hr. Ms. de Ruyter (card), Retourschip Batavia (Revell), HMS Surprise (De Agostini) Built (and sunk): Too many to list
