Hi All,
Just had an email communicating that issue 6 (packs 21-24) is due to be dispatched.
If i am not mistaken one of these packs contain the controversial bearing assembly, so it will be interesting to hear peoples views on how well they fit and if Model Space / Kyosho have addressed the issue yet.

Also would be interested to hear any feedback on the Fuel Tanks that are going to be used on this model, as on the old kyosho alpha tens they were a nightmare for air leaks through the primer/plunger and had to end up removing the primer and re-seal the tank and close off the exhaust to prime the engine!
look forward to your responses
Nige

The issue 45 hub carrier bearing problem only appears to have surfaced with a few customers in Australia, UK stock appears unaffected by what is a packaging error.

Not seen the tank first hand as yet, but I don't think it has a plunge primer.

I had the same email message and too was wondering about the bearing.

Re-assuring to hear that its just a packaging issue and confined to Australia.

Looking forward to getting the second shock in the next pack (7) aswell as the washer so I can finally build the shock the same back in the first couple of packs!

I received pack 6 today and have just finished putting together the parts. I can confirm that the bearings are a nice snug fit and the wheel rotates freely with no wheel wobble.

Looks like it was just an Australian supply problem Flapper

I received mine also. Not started the assembly yet, but that was good to know that the bearings are a good fit.

My bearings are fine too. My wheels are a little wobbly, but it appears I have a slight issue in my wheel glue-ing, but that's my fault.

Still no fuel bottle though Huh

Is there an option to email - I know I'm in the wrong country, and a different situation but I always find it easier to outline my expectations and vent in an email.. Certainly less frustrating than a phone call and you get an opportunity to edit before you send.

Best of luck

I've just had a look around and strangely Mellow enough on the contact page there is an email address you can use to contact them rather than phoning.

customercare@deagostini.co.uk

My first package has been dispatched and I can't wait to get started...hopefully I don't have any problems!

Good work Russ,

personally I would go down the email track if the phone calls are not working.. Given them a good 48 hours to respond. I find they are normally more generous and address the issue better when it is clearly presented to them, and from experience an email does this better than a frustrated phone call.

Best of luck KrisKross, and hopefully you can turn this into a positive experience and we'll see you posting a build diary in no time. Hopefully we have been able to ease your pain, (we've all been there once or twice) and be sure to hit us up if you have any more questions.

Chris I tend to agree. I've only just signed up but think email is a better way of communication as you usually quote the previous responses which makes it easier to see whats been said between customer service representatives.

Hope you manage to get the problem sorted KrisKross.

If you are not helped by customer services, or your problem is unresolved, then send a message to the forum Admin, however for your own security do this as a Private Message (PM) as you will need to provide your account details. We will then try to ascertain with customer services why they are unable to assist.

However, you should not PM Admin without first contacting Customer Services, otherwise we will simply pass you back to C/S.
