Hi Andy, Struggling to keep up with your progress, but this one is seriously climbing my wish list. I had fun with the San Felipe cannon dio, but the detail on this and the scale far out strip that one. Watching and drooling. Hi All The inner and outer hull planking is now fixed and the upper and lower gun linings attached still needs some finishing here and there but starting to look the part I think. I obtained some krick blackener for the brass parts and it didn't turn out to well until I had the idea of zapping it in the microwave for 2 minute blasts then cooling and doing again worked a treat regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Looking very nice indeed Andy How would you say this kit would be for a complete novice (Say like me) to do? As a first timer ventering into wooden builds, is it a good kit to start with? Spencer

Hi Spencer Thanks for looking in and your comments, as a model it would be a good starter kit as it would have its challenges but still be an enjoyable build I think. regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi All Small update on progress. The cannon ports have now been fully lined and the central upper cross beams added as have the blackened upper eye bolts. What took up most of my day was the measuring and correct location of the eye bolts and rope holes around the gun ports as the measurements provided are dubious at best and somewhat enigmatic at times. It looks about right to the eye now though so im happy with it, Finally the inner and outer has had a single coat of matt varnish to seal everything and give an idea of colour. regards Andy arpurchase attached the following image(s): Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi Andy, Looking really good matey, Gonna be fun seeing how you get around the framework and see how you will be able to fit in all the internal fixtures and fittings etc, but I`m sure you have an in depth plan to follow. Good luck on the rest of this build, Will be following as usual. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

This has a real quality look to it Andy, I love the wood colour as well, very nice. I can't help thinking though that that framework may make adding fittings a bit difficult later, but I said that before you did the planking and you managed that beautifully Steve
