A light spray with water will shrink and make the tissue taught but not to the extent that Dope would do, then use non shrinking Dope.

As this is a static am I right in thinking that it could have been skinned in silk or a substitute as weight is not a concern? Thought I may have read this somewhere...or notConfused

I took tomick advice and used non-shrink dope, when I opened the tin it was like treacle,so I nicked the wifes nail varnish remover to thin it down, done the job.Crying BigGrin

noooooooooo she's not seen the 1/2 empty bottle yet, digging out me pith helmet, for protection.
thanks spence, did make a pleasant break, although I can see why I prefer the hardier wood of ship building.

Hi Karl, BigGrin

That is one cool build.

I like the old flying machines, but it always seems that they had them back to front by today`s standards.

That said, where would we be today without those pioneers?

If SWMBO finds you`ve used the nail varnish remover, don`t let her near the frying pan till she`s calmed down. LOL LOL LOL LOL

Nice build

Regards
