Greetings Steve,
The adhesives required are all covered in the official build diary here
Buy quality modelling adhesives for the CA and polystyrene glues. Its not worth trying to save a pound or two on a model like this. The build diaries have more detailed info on the glues people are using.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum. Two types of glue I am using on the official build are GRIP CA glue medium and EMA plastic weld. Spencer

Hi guys, Just ordered my Senna McLaren too. I'm a complete noob at this so wish to get my apologies in now if I end up asking the most obvious questions!

I'm really struggling with these ABS parts where I'm supposed to use the plastic weld. I'm carefully applying and leaving for 1 or 2 hours but it just won't stick. I've made sure that I've removed any painted areas. I'm now having to re-order the 1st pack as I've ruined the decals by over applying and smudging them badly. Why must I use this stuff, why can't I just use the plastic adhesive? Any advice?

Hi Mark Can you supply me/us with a photo/name of product etc of the Weld that you are using as the EMA plastic weld I use give me no problems if applied correctly... If your using the thick pipe weld then this has not been officially suggested to use on the MP4/4 build. Look forward to your reply Spencer

I'm using the EMA Plastic Weld, it's the same one as in the picture inside the magazine which was delivered. I guess I just need to get used to how delicately these things stick. The area you apply the weld to is very small when considering how big the front wing and nose cone are. The glued area to part itself ratio is very small.
