Finished issue 102 now, this was to add all backstays on 3 masts and to finish off all center-line stays too. It's a bit of a "spot the difference" now as it's getting difficult to show whats been done but you should notice all the stays dropping from the mast tops and ending at the chainwales. Believe it or not 35 new ropes since the last picsBigGrin
I also had to bring Deadeye Dave Jr. out of retirement as there were a further 20 deadeyes to do for the Backstays.

Onto issue 103 then...

Thanks guys, I certainly feel like I can see the end of this now and since the ratlines I don't see anything else troubling me from here on - apart from where I'm going to put it!

Thanks for looking Reiner,

Just a small update, finished issue 103 now and this involved fitting the mizzen boom and gaff and a little more rigging. I also fitted the stern lanterns. There are a lot of ropes to tie off and tidy up and then on to issue 104 and off down the other end to do the bobstays on the bowspritBigGrin

Thanks Guys, really appreciate the comments - I have been working on the stem/bowsprit rigging today and will post an update tomorrow. I'm happy with the copper also although I pulled the first lot off and re-did itBigGrin the copper is showing more now in the pics due to the elevation as I have taken the Vic off the bench and built a shelf for it, - it was getting too bigLaugh

Thanks Dom,
There is no real secret to the lines, just the method of masking and then re-painting over in the same colour(or a matt varnish) to seal the tape then paint the new colour on top when dry. It's all about sealing the tape really as even the best will leak when used on wood which is slightly uneven.
BTW, from what I have seen of your work you have nothing to worry about anyway, it's incredibly neat!

Thanks again for the support guysBigGrin

OK, here's the finished bobstays and martingales at the stem and bowsprit, not really much to look at but the look of the ship is getting more detailed each day now. All the lines still hanging down are left long for final adjustment later.
I have to admit I am really enjoying the rigging now!
