I've been having a look at the tyres for my 1/12 M23. There's a very prominent moulding flash line around centre. Can someone help with a good practical way to remove this?Mellow
many thanks
Malc.

I used a dremel with sander attachement to take the tread off my MP4/23 tyres

But I'm assuming you'l want to be leaving the little diagonal indents?

I'd be very careful!!

Yes I want those indents but also a slightly scrubbed look to the tyre surface. Thanks I'll give it a go. Really don't want to flat spot them ...

Hi Malc, I would use some fine sandpaper with a sanding block. That way you only remove what you want & they will look like a used set of tyres.Stu

Thanks guys. I had a go with the dremel tool and the finest sanding drum that I had but it tended to snatch at the rubber so I used a sheet of P100 and plenty of elbow grease. Finished with 1000 grit. The result is not bad but that mould line is difficult to completely remove.Glare
