Well just spent the last few days wandering the forums, and thought it about time I introduced myself. Im Kym from SA...  Been doing dollhouse and other miniatures for a long time now, and have been dying to do some sort of ship. So hubby sub'd me to Sovereign of the Seas, and the more parts that arrive the more excited I get. We are currently up to part 7. I haven't put any of it together yet, been researching paint / colors / availability etc.. But we have constructed a base, assembly jig and today will be making the rib support. I would like to say im so grateful for the forums, some wonderful information that has helped me already. Looking forward to starting my build

Yes you will find all the help you'll ever need on the forum from the long time members who have loads of experience. You only need to ask in your thread and someone will answer. Check my thread post 71 page 4 regarding where to get paints. Most of us on the Australian forum are all Newbies so all in same boat (Pun) Regards George Building HMS SOTS

G'day KymMaree A very big welcome to Sovereign of the Seas building and forum. I too have never done anything like this before but find this forum brilliantly helpful in supporting the magazine. Always take your time and don't hesitate to ask questions. There are some great shipbuilders here who will always have a concise answer. Kind regards JohnP
