My second delivery turned up yesterday, with assembly stages 4 to 7 inclusive.

The parcel also contained a very nice poster of Senna in action in the MP4/4 BigGrin

However, on the rear of the poster there is an 'exploded diagram' of the kit, and one section of that diagram set alarm bells ringing for me...

I know we've been repeatedly reassured about the red/white demarcation on the nose, and as I understand it the problem is solved by the red section being moulded as a separate part in the correct shape for a 1988 livery, (ie. with the Marlboro 'inverted v' shape as opposed to the curved one).

I'm just a little perturbed that the exploded diagram seems to show these two separate parts that form the bodywork ahead of the cockpit on the Japanese kit as just the one part, albeit with lines showing the correct demarcation area.

We're not getting a different version to that which the Japanese received are we?

All parts received are identical to the Japanese build as it is the exact same model.

Fair enough then. Thanks.

(But in these uber-PC days, one can never be sure, and when that diagram showed the two parts that I expected to see as just the one part, I feared the worst.)

Hi Captain

Hopefully this will assure you that the parts provided are the same as the Japanese build and any fears you may have can be put to rest BigGrin

Ah, thanks for that.

From what I see in the lower photo it looks like the front bodywork is in two parts as I had been led to believe, but that they come already assembled inside the bag.

And this probably explains why they look like just the one piece on the exploded diagram. Smile

That is correct BigGrin and there is no need to dis-assemble it either as you may possibly cause damage to the alignment pins connecting the 2 parts..
