Hi Everyone. Well I've been tinkering with the rear gun turret as all it was just a plastic doom and all the plain say was to make guns out of scrapes.
Well I thought that would not look right so I looked up some pic's from the internet and the results you can see from the following pic's

I made the ammo belt from a Put of cloth and small tack pins. I colored the cloth black and then pushed the pins though. I then glued the cloth to stiffen the cloth around the pins. when the glue was dry I painted one end of all the pins a yellow and then cut the other side down and painted a bronze color.

All the rest I tried to follow the pic's that I looked up regarding the guns . the empty shell shots. I could have added more detail but it would be lost due to the sizer of the turret.

The Turret glass I had to cut to size and reshape and add in the frame work

So you can see the scale I've put the turret onto the wing of the Spitfire that I'm also building.

Hi all,
Been doing a little work on my Lancs As it stands I've completed the top half of the tail by fitting the rear wing and rudder which are all connected to push rods so when it is finished all one has to do is install the sevos and connect the push rods
I've all so fitted the rear gun turret and the wind ferrying around the gun turret.

Hope you enjoy the pic's of the build so fare.

Hi Everybody. Well I've been trying to put some detail to the cockpit area of my Lancaster B1 Special. so to keep you up to date on my attempt to add some detail.
I hope it passes as Im a beginner at putting detail to my models. you can let me know whether it up to scratch as I do have a thick skin and is open suggestions on how to do things
Im only working from photos that I've found on the internet and I do now that it might not be to scale but I'm trying hard and enjoying the work even though it well take longer to Finnish my Lancaster.

Hi All,
Well I've done the cockpit to my Lancaster so I hope it passes your inspection.
The first pic is of a photo of a Lancaster cockpit that I used as a template to my cockpit.
As I was doing this there is a bit or may be allot of artiest interpretation plus I found out that a blind Mole has better eye sight than me and my hands are as steady as flapping wings of a bird.
The cockpit is now placed in a temporary fuselage were it will stay until its time to put into my model. I will also do the frame work on the canopy at the same time .
Hope you will enjoy and you can see how my Lancaster is slowly coming together.
My Next part of the Lancaster to build will be the 4 engines be for I have to make room to build the wings and the area needed is 100" with walk around room but that later on.

The size of it is just mind boggling! I remember making a Lancaster kit in 1/48 and my mom started screaming as soon as I glued the wings into the fuselage.

But this ........

My respect, Allen.

I'll be sure to keep looking in, if that's ok with you.

Hi All, well i've nearly finnished the 4 engine howsings for my Lanc's.
It been a bit of a fidle getting the curves ect as it states the engines are covered in 1/16 bolsa but i found that it was easyer to us 0.04mm ply.
the top of the 4 engins agording to the plans are to be made of blue foum but I made the top from 0.04mm ply so that thay can be removed to alow access to the motors and eny elctical parts for the engins but im still thinking that i might try to put in a 2 strock engine with a cluch at the centre of the wings and have some girring that will run off to the engin howsing and down to the prop. but that a long way ahead.
I've still have to make the 8 exsast manafolds for the engins but thats a job that can be done when the eyes are working.

this comeing week end it of down to the local DIY to make a work bench for the wing to be made as it made as one. I also have to mark out all the spares onto the work bench.

hope you enjoy the build so fare.

Hi Allen,
Agent Gibbs must have been successful I haven't seen the boat in the new series, and if so how did he lift it up those step's.

All the best with your build very pleasing to follow.

Hi Everybody,
Well I've started doing the wings for my Lancaster. this part will take a bit of time to do.
As I'm going to put a 2 stroke engine in I've had to strengthen the wing as I go along. the pain say that all the ribs are made from 1/16 Balsa so I changed this by putting in 1/16 ply. So so fare I've only done about 1/3 of the center section to date
Well I've started on the center section as this has to be made flat and square. the leading edge of the outer wing section has an 8 degree angle to it. it also has a 6 degree angle on the back edge with a 2 degree up word angle. So i have got some head scratching ahead of me when the time come to that part of the wing.

I'll keep you all up to date and show you all how the wing section is coming along.

Hi Everybody, Well I've got my hammer and saw out and made my gig for the wings for my Lancaster and I have found out that I need a larger coffee table.

Or in plan English O S*** it big as you will see from the pic's. I've put my Spitfire wings on the gig to give you some ider of size.
