Hi guys, Go easy, am new here. I am having some issues with the front suspension on the car. It seems that I have it set at the right height but when pushed down to the ground it just stays there and doesn't spring back up. I have tried adjusting various bits but not having much luck. Also, on a separate issue, and I am not sure if this is just me, as a friend has the same issue, but the rear wing seems to be a little loose. Any help much appreciated. Cheers.

Hey Sydneysider,
With your front suspension it could be that the screws the hold the two "L" pieces might be too tight. Take the front wheels undo the shocks off one of the ball ends and then you need to get the front arms to fall under their own weight when u lift them. If that's not the problem it might be a problem with the shocks themselves.

Hi Sydneysider and welcome to the forum. Rowdy offers some good advice but something else to ask is that what shock oil did you use? Did you use the oil that came with your subscription? When assembling the shocks did you use a pair of non teethed nose pliers as suggested in the official build as any other type could damage the shafts and cause problems later. As for your rear wing I can only think of that it may be possible that either the wrong screw type has been used or the hole that the screw goes into has been made oversized by using an incorrect screw type. Feel free to post some pictures of the problems you are having as we might spot something. Spencer

Hi guys, Thanks for the responses so far. Rowdy, I tried your suggestions, and yes I definitely did have the'L' pieces a little too tight so have loosened them. However, it just doesn't have the spring to push it back up if you know what I mean. Warthog, I used cloth to stop abrasion of the shaft as suggested and used the oil provided. I will have another crack when I get home this evening as it was quite late last night when I was doing the above. Thanks again guys, and feel free to keep suggesting!

This is a tough one. So its like the piston in the shock is getting jammed when the suspension is compressed? That's what i'm thinking 'cuz if it was that there was not enough oil the heavy springs would push the piston and shaft out anyway. Can you tell us what u did when u assembled the shocks?

May help, may not, but I found it possible to assemble the shocks without having the springs compressed, this would lead to the shocks not actually doing anything.
I believe I originally placed the top retaining collar incorrectly (the last step in the process). May want to check this too.

I have the same problem with the rear wing. The quality of the screws provided are particularly poor. I wouldn't worry too much about it though as it will be coming off when you fit the non display body. Unless of course you are are only building it for display purposes.
