Hi Everyone:
I just ordered my victory kit from modelspace. I have never tackled anything like this before, the closest is the 1:96 constitution by Revell. I am working on a couple of small wood ships, The Amati Bluenose and the Caldercraft Lady Nelson. I have read a lot of the build diary and have seen several pieces on you tube and this looks like a great model to build. The Victory have always been my dream build. So I am taking the plung. I will probably have a lot of questions as the build goes alone. Gald to join the forum.Drool

Welcome to Modelspace, you will certainly enjoy the Victory, it is a fantastic partwork and is designed so that anyone can make a good job of it regardless of previous experience. You will also find your skills improving throughout your time on the build. Good luck and please ask for help if needed.BigGrin

Welcome to the world of HMS Victory.

I have recently started too with zero experience of wooden ship building, I've just had my third delivery. The official build guide is fantastic and other people's build diaries are an excellent resource.

Good luck and I hope to see your build soon.

A big welcome to you and really hope you get great satisfaction with your build.

Nice thing about this forum is you can build at your own pace.

I restarted my victory build at the end of last year. Time never on my side with work but did manage to get all of the gun ports cut this weekend.

Happy modelling

Tony
