Hi there

I'm keeping myself busy until I can cut the maple planks tomorrow. Decided to cover the beak platform with the supplied sapele vineer instead of staining it.

Enjoy your Easter!

Hi Steve

Yip, it was a bit tricky! Tried cutting the grids previously with a hand saw, did not work! Mad

This time I used my Proxxon FET table saw and it worked!Love

Thanks for looking in. Love

Hi Alan

Thanks, must give credit to you for the idea. LOL No use in staining it if you got supplied sapele veneer available, which I'm not gonna use for anything else.

Thanks for looking in.

I am glad to see you back on your build. The detail looks great.

I had the same idea in mind using the Sapele-strips to contrast the walnut. I struggle to get those parts glued together and end up putting it aside for a later stage of my build.

Hi Martyn

Thanks for looking in, I haven't been on the site for some time!Crying

Progress is slow at the moment! I'm busy with the second layer of planking the hull bottom with maple strips that I have cut. The one side is almost complete and then for the other one! Will post some pics over the weekend.
