Thanks Magpie
Zeptrader: Colin can you ensure this goes on your index page, I'm sure we will make use of it when eventually rigging is reached.

What an excellent and splendid example of an operation that is going to take place on everyones build, this is precisely the type of example us newbies need to give us every chance of completing a very good model. Thankyou...

Hi Magpie, yes, I have attached the lateen sail in a satisfactory fashion, but it seems to be taking a long time, I have tied the knots one at a time, but this seems to waste a lot of thread and I was wondering if some sort of running knot could be used instead, thank-you.

Great post can anyone tell me what the width at the widest point the ratlines are apart and the length of the longest one is as i want to make a jig to make mine???????????

Hi Allan,
There is a jig out there but its Pants... Every Ship is different in width of ratline because it depends scale and how many Shrouds aswell. Its actualy easier to do them as you go along..
