Lovely job there Steve, understand why you deviated a bit. Also up 105 and you look at the model and go "so what have I achieved in the past few weeks and you all you see and do is rigging and rigging and rigging"!" Hi Steve A question if you don't mind. Do you use car primer for all the cast pieces? I've yet to purchase any primers up till now as had very little in the way of cast pieces to date. My cannons and one anchor were done with oil based as primer. Now I have most of the Admiralty Paints (water based) except for four colours coming. When you mentioned car primer I think that those primers are of better quality and thinner than average primers and better for the fine detail. I maybe wrong? Regards George1 Building HMS SOTS

Thanks for looking Ian @George, I did use car spray on primer on the castings, it's what I have always used as will not flake when used on metal and gives a very nice matt coat to paint over. Steve

Thankyou George, Gibbo for your comments, I appreciate it. Taking a short break from the Vic, I need to sort out some shelving that will take the width of the yards as these are next to go on. Just received issue 120 so I have all the bit I need now. Going to concentrate on some plastic kits for a while but back soon Steve

Outstanding craftsmanship Steve I spent all of last night reading thru your build. I'm in awe with your accomplishments so far. As I'm still waiting for my first issue to arrive, reading thru everyone's builds is a great way to pass the time.
