The Humbrol three varnishes gloss,satin and matt have many uses.The two main ones I use them for are to stop my transfers from pealing off and stop your model from turning yellow with direct sun.Another use I found was when I did not have a satin black paint so I used matt black and a coat of satin varnish over the top.you could not tell any difference.
