Hi everyone,i'm brand spanking new to this forum ( or any other for that matter )i started collecting the DelPrado Victory many years ago and got as far as putting the ribs, gunports decking & planking together, then forgot about it until six weeks ago when i was forced to take a couple of weeks off work for minor medical reasons, so i set about starting up the project again, when looking online for info i came across DeAgostini and this forum, so i've just subscribed to Sovereign Of The Seas and have been looking at builds, i have learned so much in that short space of time, tools, methods tips and tricks, i'm chomping at the bit to start SOTS, only got the first 3 issues so far, but i'm going to finish the Victory first and use that to hone the skills to do the SOTS justice, the DeAg models have so much more detail than the DelPrado, thanks for all the tips and tricks so far i'm really enjoying watching your builds and learning from them. Building: DelPrado HMS Victory. Building: DeAgostini Sovereign Of The Seas.

Hi Gibbo Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you will enjoy your time with us, you have made a great choice with the SOTS and there are some fantastic build diaries on here for inspiration, including the official build of course. As for the Del Prado Vic, well it was slightly limited when it comes to detail but here's an excellent build / renovation that shows you what can be done with this kit - http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=posts&t=5119
Good luck with both your builds and hope you can find some time to begin a build log for us. Steve
