Hello All,
Update on the Victory build, at the moment I am concentrating on the quarterdeck I have gone for Oak planking 4 mm x 2mm,this I found very pleasing to build as you know Oak is very strong and will not snap the only trouble is that it can be painful on the old fingers ( must get a powder saw )anyway pictures H/W.
Also you may notice that I am trying to build the Officers cabins to how I want them, the parts are all made by hand, Oak is the frame work Dark mahogany in the doors, all the doors are set in there own frames all though this is experimental I will probably go with it pictures H/W.

Regards
Trev.

Hello Steve,
I did find working with Oak very pleasing, you can push your luck a bit with it, where other woods will snap.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi Robin,
I am pleased to see you have taken the time to look at my build, I found working with Oak very rewarding and using 4mm x 2mm more to scale I know that there has been some talk about deck planking on the Victory looking to wide so that is the reason I went to 4mm.There will be more hand work to the Cabins so I will be a bit busy again, more pictures to follow.
Regards
Trev.
