As I have now come to the point on my other build where I need to mark the waterline I went on the hunt for a tool to do the job.I found this at approx £12 depending where you get it.

However having been a technician for years in the plastics industry I noted that it was very similar to a tool that is used in die production(also in other engineering applications) except that a sensitive needle dial would replace the pencil.I then noticed the somewhat redundant magnifying glass that we got free(I have one of those magnifying headbands)& saw that the same principle is used on that,so with a bit of de-construction & the deft insertion of a pencil I came up with this!

height adjustable & a swivel to make life a tad easier,best of all it works & is FREE!!!!(At least to those of us who subscribed anyway...sorry to those that didn't)
