Hi All, A large scale, RC Tank might be nice in the military section. Leave the choice up to the powers that be. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Would indeed be nice to see. For now, anyone building an RC Tank can add their build into military builds section or discuss such in the military discussion section, and if the topic proves popular or an RC Tank partwork comes along, we may then add a specific RC Tank section to the forum.

Weird,Ive been looking at Tamiyas 1/16 Panther to go with my Tiger till I got sidetracked by Field Of Armour's 1/6 Panther and Stug4.They would require a huge amount of work to bring them up to scratch but very tempting, and wouldnt cost a fortune like all the other 1/6 tanks out there which all cost a lot more than the car I drive! http://www.plasticpanzers.8k.com/photo2_4.htmlhttp://www.fieldofarmortanks.com/Dont forget theres also Armourteks fantastic kits if you happen to be very rich, plus a couple more manufacturers in Germany and Far East, again if you happen to be very, very rich. A few years ago, Winson engineering did a part work for a Tiger tank. I am not sure what scale it was, or if it was radio controlled; It was certainly powered. After Winson Engineering went bust, what happened to the drawings patterns etc? If they are still extant, maybe someone with the money could consider producing it again. Tony.

I remember the Winson Tiger,it was a quarterly installment plan, where you paid every quarter, and each time you got the next huge box of bits,if I remember right. It was a very well engineered kit from what I recall and a great idea. I THINK what happened to Winson engineering and their tiger ended up in some way as Armourtek and their tiger, only no installment plan. A 1/6 tank would be a great partwork, but it wouldnt be viable I dont t hink due to the small numbers who would want one, could afford one, have room for one,and I dont think theres a company that produces 1/6 tanks thats geared up for even that limited demand.Shame really. I Dont think even Deagostini could do a deal with Armourtek or someone to do a limited edition 1/6 tank partwork on a first come first served basis either. So its either 1/16 or get saving up for FOA and a LOT of East Coast Armory upgrades Jon

As my Hummer build is almost complete, it would be nice if an rc tank build or something similar was announced. :) I built the ww2 tiger tank subscription (from another publisher) a couple of years back but that was just a static model. Tomick wrote:Its hoped to bring our RC T-72 collection here at some point Tomick, do you think this may come to fruition? Love this forum & people on it but too little in the Military Section, ships I love but very time consuming, personally I'm not into cars or bikes, so would be great to see the Military Section expanding.
