Hey guys Sunny day today and my first time painting with Tamiya Colour Spray and ill be working on my Spitfire that i structurally finished about a year ago. Hey guys. Day 2 and sad news. I am at my wit's end with spray painting and masking as i have zero access to good masking tape and therefore it did not pan out so great. Used 3 different techniques and all came close, but no cookie. I am sweating like a gipsy with a mortgage here ='( if anybody can hook me up with Tamiya masking tape or that thn blue masking tape you see used on cars...i would be so very thankful!

A better way to do the camo lines is with bluTac or plasticine rather than masking tape. The reason for this is that it give a better blending rather than a solid line difference between the colours... You don't have to have an airbrush either, just do one of the colours all over (usually the lightest) then once you have drawn the pattern, lay your bluTac along those lines and use thick paper or card in between the lines to mask where you don't want the paint.. Spencer
