Hi all, I have been looking at this online....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...?_trksid=p2054897.l5668

Seams like something that on face value, would allow me to do many more things at a much higher level but I'm sceptical. Machines like this usually cost a fortune, therefore I'm wondering if this is a gimmick or a modellers best friend?

Thanks,

William.

I purchased an original Unimat one for £265 a few months ago with free postage.

This I would assume is a cheap copy and more expensive when you include the P+P.

Also, Unimat spares are readily available and you get the Unimat guarantee.

Hope this info helps.

Hi Superheli, BigGrin

We may be at cross purposes, they are great bits of kit, but, there are good quality ones and poor quality ones.

Unimat were the original makers of this type of kit. If the one on the link is not of equal quality then it could be that when the units are clamped together there may be distortion in the components and a loss of accuracy.

My feeling is that the tried and tested kit would be the better purchase, but as I say that`s just my opinion.BigGrin
